EAT OUT FOR OCTOBER -A THANK YOU FROM US

It’s fairly normal as we slowly move from Summer into Autumn, we start to reflect on the year so far. However, 2020 feels like a uniquely challenging one that’s impacted on so many aspects of our lives. Covid-19 has literally altered so much of how we spend our time, socialising and, in short, how we try to enjoy ourselves.

One constant in all these challenges has been how strongly the community in Queensferry has rallied together. Our beautiful little spot on the Forth continues to be a destination for folk looking take a break from the stress. Whether that’s blowing away cobwebs with a walk to the Shell Beds or finally catching up with familiar faces over lunch, it feels good to reconnect with what makes us happy.

Here, at the Boathouse, since we tentatively reopened in July, we have been overwhelmed with the support we have received from everyone. Of course, we have been mindful to deliver a dining experience that follows all the government guidelines. Despite everything feeling a tiny bit odd to begin with, feedback suggests we’ve managed to give you an experience that still compliments the views.

So, for all of October, you are invited to enjoy our ‘Eat Out for October’ offer. Dine with us for lunch or dinner, any Monday, Tuesday or Wednesday throughout October and you’ll benefit from 25% discount off your bill up to the value of £5* per person. We’ll also continue to add to the menu as produce become more readily available.

This new offer follows on from the government’s offer through August and September but for October this is solely from us. It’s a small and heartfelt gesture from Paul, Suzanne and the entire team at the Boathouse to say how much we appreciate being proudly part of a unique and passionate community.

Your support helps us continue to be Queensferry’s best kept secret and we look forward to seeing you soon.

Hello!

blog_01

Welcome to our new website and blog. As you can see, we’ve had a makeover, a fresh new identity that better reflects us as the destination for discerning diners in Queensferry. Every single day, for everyone in the team here, the view out our window over the shore across to the rail bridge is an inspiration. Even by the hour, the view is always changing and it’s a continually inspiration underpinning what we do at the Boat House.

Over the coming months, we’ll slowly add features and articles here that showcase the way we believe our approach to intelligently selected local and seasonal produce is well worthy of your taste buds attention. Why not keep up to date my joining our email list or following us via Facebook and Twitter.

Thanks for being part of Queensferry’s best kept secret…

CHRISTMAS AT THE BOAT HOUSE!

The build up to Christmas has always been a very special time for us here at the Boat House. You also don’t need any reminding that we’ve all been through some pretty challenging times in the last 18 months, so we wanted to share out festive plans for this year.

We have decided to offer our Christmas Menu at both lunchtime and evenings from December 1st until the 23rd… So, whether you’re planning a catch up with friends, a gathering of work colleagues, a family gathering or just a way to get into festive mode, we’ve created the perfect setting!

Whether you’re hankering for a proper Christmas roast turkey and stuffing, or something less traditional our 3 course Christmas menu will hit the spot. Your can view the full menu here.

This menu is only available on advanced bookings and costs £30 per person. When you book, we will request a £10 deposit per guest.

After the odd Christmas many of us had last year, we’ve also decided this year to allow our team to spend it with their families. So, our opening times over Christmas and New Year are:

Christmas Eve: Bistro menu – until 9pm
